The materials perfumers build with alongside the oils: fixatives that make a blend last (Galaxolide 50% IPM, Iso E Super), a diffusion booster that lifts it (Hedione), and the bases that dilute it — DPG for burning oils and bakhour, and Perfume Solvent (denatured ethanol) for eau de parfum and eau de toilette.
